48 Bikes and 4 Sidecars whizzing round whilst the latest tunes blared out at full volume and every kid who was anyone held on for the ride of their life.

On the Spring Bank Holiday of 1971 Silcock's unveiled their latest ride The Disco Speedway.

The ride soon became a meeting point for teenagers from all over The North West and wooed riders with its fast speeds and latest tunes.
