Silcock's History
Silcock Leisure are a family business started by Edward
Silcock Senior at the end of the 1880's. He founded Silcock's
Travelling Fairs which travelled the North of England entertaining
the general public.
In the late 1950's, Edward's Grandson, Herbert Silcock and his
wife Jane Silcock, established themselves with rides at Southport
Pleasureland. There they continued to grow during the heyday of
the amusement park.
In the early 1980's they opened their first Family Amusement
Centre in Coronation Walk in Southport and along with their 3
children, Herbert Jnr, Pauline & Mark, the Silcock Leisure Group
was formed.
Now in their Fifth generation and with over 100 years experience
in the amusement business, they are one of the leading amusement
companies in the North West.
